Spanish artist Antonio Garcia Soler was born in 1957 in the Alicante region on the eastern coast of Spain. Encouraged by his artistic father, Antonio studied fine art in Valencia where he developed his distinctive style.
Having lived close to the sea all his life, Antonio loves to paint the Mediterranean and he is now particularly well known for his incredible seascapes. Capturing the power and movement of the ocean and the play of light on the water, Soler’s spectacular work incorporates reflection, transparency and shadow to portray the ever changing moods and colours of the sea as the waves crash to shore.
Antonio paints in oil on canvas and his style is verging on hyperrealism. He can often be found on the beach close to his home sketching and collecting reference material for his work.
His award winning works are in many prestigious collections throughout Europe and the Americas.
